Description
This is the site famously known as the first site for International trade in prehistoric Zambia. Pieces of copper crosses were found at the site. Trade was mostly between locals and the Arabs.

The name Ng'ombe Ilede is from the Tonga phrase meaning 'Sleeping Cow' which describes the baobab tree that is shaped like a sleeping cow.
